This notice explains what personal information we collect through geokits.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors of this website and to people who correspond with us. Client project data is governed by the contracts under which those projects run, not by this notice.

Contact form submissions: when you write to us through the contact page we receive your name, email address, organisation if you provide one, and the content of your message. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes technical signals from your browser to distinguish people from bots.

Correspondence: if you email us directly, we hold the correspondence and your address for as long as the conversation and any follow-up requires.

Client portal: authorised clients signing in to the data portal are authenticated through Google Firebase Authentication. This uses strictly necessary storage in your browser to maintain your session. Portal accounts exist only for clients we have contracted with.

Analytics: we use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate site usage. It is cookieless, does not track you across sites, and does not build individual profiles. We see aggregate page views and referrers, not identified individuals.

We do not run advertising or advertising trackers. We do not sell personal information. We do not use analytics cookies, and this site does not present a cookie banner because it does not set cookies that require consent.

We process contact details and correspondence because it is in our legitimate interest to respond to enquiries and conduct business development, and where we take steps toward a contract at your request. We process client portal credentials to perform our contracts. We process aggregate analytics in our legitimate interest to keep the site useful and performant.

Our service providers process data on our behalf: Vercel hosts this website and provides analytics, Cloudflare provides bot protection on forms, and Google Firebase provides authentication for the client portal. Email is handled by our email service providers. We share information beyond this only where the law requires it.

Some providers process data outside the United Kingdom. Where they do, transfers rely on recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

Enquiries and correspondence are kept for as long as needed to handle the matter and for a reasonable period afterwards. Client portal accounts last for the duration of the client relationship. Aggregate analytics contain no personal information to delete.

Under UK data protection law you can ask for access to your personal information, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to our processing, and ask for a copy in a portable format. Write to contact@geokits.com and we will respond. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
